As a new school year began last fall, the new kid decided to run for student council. He had been in town for less than a month but had great aspirations. He was elected to the student council and from this, made the decision to run for treasurer. Posters were made, speeches were given and when all the votes were counted, the brand new kid had lost by 10.
Fast forward one year. This same kid decided to run for student council treasurer once again. His motto: "Put your money where my math is!" Posters were made, speeches were given and when the votes were all counted, the not-so-new kid won!!!
If you haven't guessed by now, the 2008-2009 student council treasurer at Chamberlin Hill Intermediate is none other than our Daniel! Congratulations to him and also to Noah who was elected to serve in the general student council body (3rd graders are not eligible to run for officers).
We're so proud!
