Gary's 40th birthday unfortunately started with pumping water out of our basement (again) but we did manage to go out to lunch and per Gary's request, ate homemade chili for dinner. He also had his annual Hershey's chocolate cake for dessert.
Gary's birthday will be celebrated this summer with a family trip to NYC but he did get a bicycle today which he promptly initiated with a ride to the park. And, his new bike motivated Noah to learn how to ride his own bike today, which he did!
Gary also received many e-cards, e-mails and phone calls. Not sure how so many people knew it was his birthday :)
